Act of Worship was founded 2005 by Björn Schimmelpfennig and Christoph Abels. In Summer 2006 they recorded their first demo "Der Achte Kreuzzug" (The Eighth Crusade), followed by the second in February 2007 called "Invasion". Both demos still contained german lyrics, but were not released, as both developed their style rapidly, investing more time to expand their musical abilities, and to create material which pleased them even more. Additionally they changed to english lyrics. The style of the music became more sophisticated, with the growing influence of blackmetal and classical elements. So, Act of Worships style is Melodic Death-Black Metal. At present, the band is working on their first full length album Black Legions. For more information about the band see our myspace site.
